That's not a reason for a Pokemon to have Dark typing.

The only Pokemon from Gen 1 I can think of that deserves Dark typing is Hypno, and that's only based on a single instance in one game where a Hypno chases a child through the woods to put her to sleep and eat her dreams.

Hell, oddish line could've been a candidate for fairy, too, as it is involved in magical shit and the moon and night.
