Flash Frost Aurorus would be even more broken than Talonflame because it could run Life orb with Ice Beam, HP Fire, Earth Power, and thunderbolt and cover all of its weaknesses on the switch.

I'm not saying Talonflame has nothing else going for it, but Gale Wings Talonflame is outclassed in almost every way by Gale Wings Staraptor. Ever played Almost Any Ability? Talonflame is nowhere near the best user of Gale Wings.

Talonflame has STAB Flare Blitz off of 126 speed. It also has access to Wil-o-Wisp, Tailwind and U-Turn. You're joking, right?

Not enough imo. It's specially defensive set would retain its niche, but the offensive sets would be outclassed by stronger birds. Compare Gale Wings Talonflame to Gale Wings Staraptor. Staraptor has way more power behind its Brave Bird and is less weak to Stealth Rock. Talonflame's Flare Blitz gives it the advantage in breaking through steels, but Staraptor's Double-Edge lets it beat Rotom-W, while Close Combat lets it KO rocks and still deal solid damage to steels. Staraptor's greater power also mitigates Talonflame's speed advantage - Staraptor Brave Bird gets a lot of KOs than Talonflame misses, so it doesn't rely on fast U-turn nearly as much.

It's a niche set, but it can be useful. It walls Charizard-Y, and it outspeeds mosts mons so it can taunt or burn them. It's only really useful on stall or very bulky balance teams though.

Nah, Fire is a much more useful type than Normal is. Unfezant also lacks decent utility and a strong boosting move, unlike Talonflame.
