Game Freak doesn't remove battle mechanics.

Plus, Megas are too ingrained into the franchise at this point. It's impossible to remove them now.

They'll stick around, but I'm not sure if we'll see as many new ones added as in the last two games. Kinda surprised we haven't had any revealed by now.

I just hope you can gather all the mega stones like you can in ORAS. Having some version exclusives in XY was the worst.

Because as much as I'd love Mega Mom to quit existing, you are dense if you think otherwise about Megas being in. Not when Mega Zard and Lucario exist. Gamefreak would never let their assets go.

Like spiky eared Pichu, cosplay Pika will be gone. Other than that, every form still exists today. Deoxys, genies, Rotom. Megas are here to stay.

Megas were a new feature in Gen 6, so they were heavily advertised.

When you're advertising a new game, you advertise the new features. Megas aren't a new feature anymore. It'd be like advertising that you can fish, or breed Pokemon; it's expected to be there, so it'd be pointless to advertise it.

We'll have new Mega's every other game.
So we won't have any new ones in SM but if DP get remakes, then we'll probably see shit like Mega-Arceus, Origin Dialga/Palkia, Mega Torterra/Infernape/Empoleon.
