The animation is done by a western studio.
That's why it's good.

There is no Japanese version. Thus this is the original version and not a dub.

Origins wasn't all that well-received in Japan. The ratings were nothing to write home about, and a regular anime special starring Brock and Cilan did better.

If Japs didn't like Origins, then they probably aren't going to like this either, so I can see why they didn't bother.

Because the Ashnime is still popular there, and isnt wholly bashed like it is here.

The animations were on par with the BW2 promotional video. I liked it. Pikachu didn't bother me too much because not every Pikachu looks the same. Whoever thinks that is a racist.
