Something that ties in with the Gen 5 remakes. So fusion is actually a realistic guess. But only for a select few Pokémon. My guess would be Triple Types.

Either a new type, or triple-typings. Something that would make the Original Dragon for the Gen 5 remakes unique, like they did with Groudon/Kyogre/Rayquaza and will inevitably do for Dialga/Palkia/Giratina/Arceus.

I would guess new type, because it's easier to balance a new type than to work around possible 8x weaknesses and resists. (assuming resistances are multiplicative, not additive, no idea how the math works)

Could also be 5 move slots, which maybe z-moves are alluding to. Gen 5 remakes, develop new technology that allows pokemon to learn 5 moves.

5 move slots would suck though. There's nothing to market. They can get a ton of marketing out of a whole new type though, or triple types if they just make it cap at x4 for effectivenesses. But mostly a whole new type.
