On topic. I can't say I've ever had that happen before . Electabuzz is my favorite Pokemon and the only time he got usurped was by Electivire. So it's still the same family. Only Mon that came close was Hawlucha but the Ele family edges out.

As someone who likes Vikavolt, I'd agree. I think it's mainly because so far most Sun and Moon pokemon are more on the cute/silly/quirky side, so having a pokemon like Vikavolt that solidly fills that "cool" niche is super satisfying.

Whether it performs well will totally swing things more one way or the other, I think.

I could never give up Charizard for another favorite, so yes, I would feel beyond guilty.

You assume that I hate change and am not willing to try new things. Sure Golem has stood steadfast by my side in nearly every game I could catch him, but I readily chose a replacement for him when I couldn't, and if there was a new poke that fills his niche and is interesting, I'd replace him for that.

Not really, but it did take a long time to happen since my favorite Pokémon was Blastoise when I was like 5 untill it got changed by Aegislash when I played through Pokémon X, still chose Squirtle as the Kanto starter there though.

My favorite for a while was Magnezone, I even ran a page dedicated to him for a while on Facebook. I always said though that if they made a steel/ghost type itd be my favorite seeing as those two are my favorite types. Aegislash was a fucking blessing
