I am willing to bet money on ORAS chronologically being the last game in the series and the chance of us seeing a young Maxie and Archie together on the Aether Foundation.
There's so much story at play ever since Gen 5 and Gen 6. I couldn't even begin to fit it all in this post. Even past generations are included in a way with the confirmation of a multiverse and such. Generations also seems to be paving the way for it to "all come together", perhaps once and for all to bring the main series to and end. While I very much doubt that would EVER happen, I could accept it happening seeing as S&M are shaping up to be the best entries yet.

But sm takes place after xy which takes place shortly after oras.
Sun/Moon take place after XY
WHAT!?

Oh right. Woops.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm very excited for the new games.
What if the rest of the regions are sold as expansion packs? WTF is "it all comes together" supposed to mean?!

The Hoenn games take place at the same time as the Kanto games. ORAS presumably matches the Mega Universe equivalent of FRLG

Gens one, three, and six are all first chronologically first, bar Gen one starting slighty before three and six. In order for SM to predate ORAS, it has to be first, which is highly unlikely.

That would be really cool, I always wanted to find out about their past and the team they were on. Too bad it doesn't work with the timelines.
I do still want them to appear in Alola though.

6 comes after 1 and 3, and B/W2 are at the same time as 6, putting B/W1 a little bit before 6.

It is legit frustrating how many people here talk canon despite not actually knowing it
