I've been playing through Black again, and I'm almost done (just finished the second visit to Relic Castle). I used a large variety of Pokemon I was curious about before on my team. But now I have half of my team as Ghost (my favorite type). The only reason I won't use all 4 Ghost Unova mons is because I don't like Jellicent's design. It just looks to goofy and awkward, which is a shame because Frillish has one of my favorite designs. My final team will be Chandelure, Golurk, Cofagrigus, Mienshao, Cinccino, and Beheeyem. I hate to leave behind Scolipede, Serperior, and Galvantula, but I wanted this playthrough to be about using new Pokemon constantly. I might even catch new Pokemon for the postgame.

Dark and fighting. It wasn't intentional- as I collect my favorites, I always end up with only one or two pokemon that aren't that type. It's been that way since r/s/e
Fighting type reporting in,
Been using mono-fight since OG hoenn (usually 5 fighting types + 1 HM slave)
>>28538539
Is there an easy way to generate this with any poke? Where did you get your sprites?
Not a type per say but I normally stick to snake type pokemon

>>28532314
>and no one ever complains
Bullshit.
Steel fanatic here. Most of the time when I battle I like to run either mono Steel or a team based around sandstorm. Pic related is my casual kind of gimmicky team that I don't actually use very often but it has all of my top 5 Steel bros.Excadrill isn't one of them but it's very useful.
When I battle on Battle Spot, I usually run Ferrothorn, Heatran, Cobalion, Aegislash, Excadrill and M-Metagross. If I do monotype battles on Pokemon Showdown, I replace Aegislash and M-Metagross with Jirachi and M-Scizor since the first two are banned.
Depending upon what's available and how the final starters evos turn out, I think I'll make Moon the first game I give a mono-type run a try.
That said, what are good types to try on a mono-type run? Ice has too many problems for me to wanna bother, Rock is too damn slow, and Grass is just mediocre; otherwise I'll try anything. Definitely willing to try a mono-type run that allows me to use my starter.
>>28541786if you're weak, desu
>>28542473
fightfag back, we've had a fighting starter every year since hoenn and I'm certain we'll get another fighting started this year. Just take it and run with it. Use bewear, you'll probably be able to get the fighting crab pretty early on.
Worst case scenario you double up on Pokemon which I've only had to do once
>>28530638
I love Steel types most of all, but some of my favorites aren't Steel type. My compromise is I always have 3 Steel types on my team, and the other 3 Pokemon cannot have any type overlap.
I made a rock team
Weakness Policy Golem
Tyranitar
Aggron(Mega)
Omastar
Aururus
Aerodactyle
I've always liked dark types. Not in any edgy kind of way, but I like a lot of their designs. I enjoyed the in-game villains (pic related) and they tend to use a lot of dark types, so that plays into it.
I don't use them exclusively because "muh type balance." I'll usually throw in two or three non-darks.
>>28543085
> Rock team
> Mega-Aggron
Doing mono Dragon is only really possible in X/Y and those games are quite shit.
X/Y was so kind with dragons, you can get Axew, Bagon, Gible and Goomy all at acceptable levels. None of this right before the Elite Four shit.

>>28543126
Should be good this time a round too, with Drampa, Turtonator, and Alolan Exeggutor. Wouldn't hold out for Jangmo-o's line being available early though, if it turns out to be the psuedo.
I don't use specific types but I usually try to use really mediocre mons in all of my runs.
Like Mightyena, Sandlash, Tauros etc.
I find the lower the tier the more interesting the moveset
>>28543094
Same
>>28543238
Yeah Jangmo-o's description about it wanting to be really strong and shit makes me think it'll be the pseudo.
I hope it's not another mono Dragon though. We need more Dragons that aren't complete overkill, but at the same time aren't shit.
>>28543294
Also waiting on that Dragon Eeveelution that will never happen.
>>28543294
>Scaly Pokemon

Everything points towards an armored theme, I'm willing to bet it becomes Dragon/Steel. Which holy fuck the resistances, only thing that keeps that defensive combo from being OP is it's weaknesses to the two most common offensive types.

Currently doing a fairy-mono in Y. I haven't really narrowed it down yet, so I'm using literally every fairymon on my time. I don't much care for Mr.Mime and Gardevoir though. Too human-like, it kinda creeps me out to be honest. Ever use Mr.Mime in Pokemon Amie? That shit will give you nightmares, or a seizure.

>>28530638
Steel bro here. Scizor is my favorite pokemon and is always in any team I have if I can help it. Aggron, Excadrill, Bisharp and Metagross are also great. Second would probably be ground or dark.
>>28550819
Muh nigga. What's your favorite Normal-type?
Hey, here's a cool thought for you Bugbros out there: Wimpod's evo might be the first Bug-type able to learn Surf! Together with the PokeRide thing, you might not need an HM slave for the first time ever when using an all-Bug team! That's kinda cool.
>>28541752
Not quoted but want it too.
Usually you need to rip sprites from bulba/sereby and print/copy/paste thousand times into paint. When you finish it, the thread was already at bump limit.
>>28550930
Hard to pick a favorite, but I'd go with Tauros or Braviary
My current normal team is
>Tauros
>Raticate
>Braviary
>Kecleon
>Wigglytuff
>Slaking
>>28551190
You and I are practically brothers, anon.
Tauros was a total bro in Yellow version. It was fairly hard to get, too, so when you finally got one it felt like something special. I'm transferring mine to Moon once Bank updates.
Braviary is totally a fav of mine as well, and I like all the others you listed, too. I've bred and used all of those at one time or another! Raticate is one of my favorite Pokemon to use in Doubles, since with Guts it's much stronger than people realize with STAB Facade.
>>28551430
Kindred spirits, we are. Tauros is my bro for the same reason, and Raticate has always had a special place in my heart since he was the first pokemon I actually caught on my own way back in Blue version. I'm replaying Red right now and Hyper Fang is ridiculous.
Braviary is best bird, and Wigglytuff is the newest addition that I've learned to love. Slaking and Kecleon speak for themselves I think.
You hyped for Alolan Raticate? That fat asshole is going on my team so fast.
>>28551545
Fatass Raticate does excite me, in that I will enjoy using it to mess with those dang Dark-type mono-type users. Hustle is fantastic, even if hax misses will fuck you over on occasion. That thing is going to be a nightmare to fight in the wild if it has Hustle and high attack.
I'm loving all the Normal-types that Alola has, so far. Komala looks promising since it's immune to status, for instance. Beware might be strong as fuck, and Fluffy will make it really bulky (albeit weak to Fire).
Good times ahead, I think.
Ground-bro reporting. It's wierd how you can utterly despise a type when you're a kid, yet learn to love it more than anything as you age.
