Yes, OP, they are. Now, these games are my favorite, but my biggest reason for thinking you should play them is what some have mentioned before me. Every Pokemon game is good.

I don't know how long you've been on /vp/, but in case you haven't noticed, there are a number of full blown retards who call specific games in the series complete shit by all standards. That is, no holds barred, bullshit. All of the games are high-quality, well-made games that will be AT LEAST rather enjoyable. There are always at least six Pokemon you'll want for a team. There is always excellent, catchy music. There are always solid battle mechanics. I'm starting to think the people who say some of the games are shit either have anger issues with things that don't meet all of their expectations, or, more likely, just want to bait people here into heated arguments that don't like it, for the sake of seeing people freak out over illogical statements and objectively terrible, weak opinions.

So grab your fucking keys, sit your nigger ass in your fucking vehicle, and shift into ludicrous speed to the nearest GameStop, and pick up a copy of the game for 20 fucking dollars. Play just two hours of it and tell me with a straight face it wasn't worth your bitch-ass time.

If you like Pokemon's single-player campaigns, BW and B2W2 have the best single-player campaigns in the series by a fair margin.

Not untrue but not really a great accomplishment.

If you're into the series for, like, playing against other people, or catching them all, or weird bonus content, then they're a bit lacking. But in this category, I'd honestly say that the series has only gotten better over time so only the current generation is worth your time, unless you really love the alternate battle styles present in the Battle Frontiers and like to revisit them.
