Is anyone else tired of Pokemon being so proactive, popular, and successful?

Pokemon wasn't niche before but it sure as hell wasn't infested with the amount of normalfags it is now. I just want it to stop being a flavor of the month so I can talk to people who actually know shit about Pokemon. Popular is fine but FotM bandwagoning is not.
