I'd be okay with Ultra Beasts being uncatchable as long as I can date them.

They will but not until the end of the game. They'll require a unique type of Poké Ball to catch them.

Weren't (primal) Kyogre and Groudon also referred to as a "threat to both humans and Pokémon"? And probably some of the other legendaries as well.
I think it could go either way, but this line in particular doesn't really prove anything.

Which means they have their own typing/moves.
Which means they have the same rules and mechanics as regular pokemon.
Which means the devs can easily make them capturable.

This isn't fucking pokestar studios anymore. These things are pokemon for all intents and purposes.
