Raikou would probably be a better choice for a fast offensive electric type. SubCM is great and pretty fun to use.

Bold's actually even better
Back in the days T-Tar used to be a good counter for zapdos, but Bold Nature Zapdos with toxic and roost does the job.

Did you know that it can learn Reflect in Gen 1? Maybe that could work in Gen 7 if you transfer it over.

Yeah I see that a lot lately. I generally prefer playing offensively though, and not fully investing in offense feels wasteful.

I'm leaning towards something with max Sp.Atk and enough Speed to outspeed key mons, both with and without a scarf, so I can switch between a choice set and a set with Roost + 3 attacks

Thing is, Raikou is just better than Zapdos attacking.

Offensive Zapdos just sucks because it had to be the one birb without Hurricane
