I think it is mainly a matter of being so generic and customizable. Calem at least had a default hat and jacket that were a bit different, plus he was set up as a charater in-game as well.

This guy has a typical baseball cap with a pokeball, t-shirt, and shorts. It's a fine look, but it's pretty much the most safe default you could go for.

What are the chances/When will we be able to alter things like Age, Height, Eye Shape.

ORAS Brendan only fixed RSE Brendan, he's pretty much perfect and fits the region and its theme. Gave its body a shape and goes well as alternative for both common sporty activities in Hoenn such as biking, diving and surfing unlike Nate who was pretty much wearing in a divesuit in NYC and other cities in a region where you barely use HMs.
