Everything carries Fighting-type coverage and Fairy-types are everywhere. It's about as bad as a standard Dark-typing imo, it doesn't really add or take anything away - Dark already had a resistance to ghost and most were frail enough to Fighting already anyway. This just gives it a slightly stronger STAB move to use on neutral/unresisted mons (Return.)

It's not garbage considering it's immune to the excellent coverage that is Ghost, but it's not going to bump up a tier or anything, imo.

Think about what you're saying. It can switch in on:

Psychic types - which isn't worth shit since Psychic isn't a particularly common coverage move, nor are psychic types particularly threatening (And the really threatening ones are super fast and have Fighting coverage)

Ghost types - Which a million other normal types can switch in on for free, while having better stats and wider movepools.

It's a marginal buff, I'll give it that, but it is by no means going to make it amazing.

Alola-Raticate is most likely going to be better by a mile. It's not gonna be OU, but people are retarded if they don't think the little bastard at least has a niche now.

Plenty of psychic attacks get used in OU. You basically need them to take out M-Venusaur and they're very broadcasted. Those are perfect opportunities for it to switch in.
Not to mention lower tiers are full of psychic types.

If Alolan Raticate is going to have the same stat distribution as Standard Raticate, these resistances and immunities will change very little. A lot of Psychic and Ghost type Pokemon carry coverage moves (including Dazzling Gleam and Focus Blast) and Standard Raticate is made of glass anyway.

What I'm actually interested in is its offensive capabilities. STAB Sucker Punch combined with STAB Return is a nice combo. Especially if you are crazy enough to use Hustle.
