I agree. However, I think the minimum BST for all fully evolved mons should be higher than that: 500 seems like a good rounded start.

As long as fucking shuckle has a BST of 505, literally higher than that of mons like Absol, Scolipede, Heracross, etc, all fully evolved mons should have 500 BST at the very least.

It is fully evolved by level 10, and is available at the earliest routes of the game. Having a high BST on that is fucking retarded game design, and you should be ashamed of even suggesting it.

That would ruin it more. The purpose of the thing is to evolve early. Evolving later would completely ruin that. It has 85 base attack. That's very good for level 10 and very early in the game. The problem is rather the move pool, not the stats (with a gen VI Fury Cutter BP, it would get a very decent early STAB attack).

Yes, some pokémon have badly distributed stats. But Kricketune is not one of them. It's just meant to be good early, and bad later. That is it's role, and it does that just fine.

There are some excuses for low BST I think

>very powerful ability
>evolves early
>massive movepool

Even if it is, I don't accept that. I want all Pokemon to be good. This doesn't mean I don't recognize diversity, but I think it's important to at least -try- to make some Pokemon viable, such as some mode where stats/abilities/types are rebalanced so that at least such Pokemon can -try- to participate.
