I've heard that glitches like MissingNo. are going to be transferable and come out as Type: Null, too.
What makes this more credible?

Absolutely nothing, it's just fun speculation.
For the record, you can't actually capture the glitch in OP, as the game locks up and the "song" just continues on until you shut the game off.

GF would never acknowledge glitches.

But wouldn't it be neat if they used something like this to canonize Missingno? They easily could have removed the glitches from the virtual console ports of RBY, but they didn't.

Missingno is actually harmless. All it does is cause some minor graphical glitches and corrupt Hall of Fame data, but leaves save files and everything else intact.
