Z moves are going to be obnoxiously overblown during hype and derail the competitive scene (Think megas, but without the adding another layer of strategy).
The only pokemn to get them will be starters/rockruff/Alola legends/Zygarde/genwun.
Most pokemon with Z Moves are either already OP or too shit teir to use them properly.
Gen 8 gamefreak will just try to forget they exist while churning out an even more obnoxious gimmick.

Z moves simply double the base power of the move you turned into a Z move, with 100% accuracy and no secondary effects the move normally has, keeps the physical/special effect of that move. You cannot turn moves that do not inflict damage into Z moves. Carrying a Z move that doesn't evolve from an already very powerful move will result in weak and pointless damage.
