Jangmo-o is normal, on par with farfetch'd, and it's not uncommon for asian names to be translated with hyphens, like Susano-o
UB-01 is a fairly reasonable scientific categorization for an unknown creature, it just means "ultra beast 1" they're not gonna give a name to something if they don't even know if it's a pokemon or not
Type:Null is the closes one to being edgy, but it's backstory is that it's a scientific creation, so it's reasonable for it to have a scientific name
basically this thread = "THEY'RE DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT THEN WHAT I'M USED TO, AND I'M GOING TO SCREAM AND CRY ABOUT IT!!"
huh, that's actually literally how autistic people act isn't it?

>explaining why it has a shitty name
Okay but that doesn't change its name
>>28329565
People can not like things, faggot
>>28328509
These names are awesome, faggot
Fuck you guys. Jangmo-o is an awesome name.
>>28331624
"I don't like it because it's edgy" is a pretty autistic reason to not like something though.
>>28328509
>Jangmo-o
How do you even pronounce this?
"Jang-moh-whoah"?
>>28332133
"Its different and I don't like it" is perfectly normal.
Change doesn't instantly mean improvement for everyone. Even if I like the names I can still know others wont
>>28332198
Jang-moh
>>28332198
It's a long "o".
You'll often see it romanized as "ou" or "oo" to indicate such. "ō" is another alternative.
>>28332283
>>28332271
"-oh" is another choice I forgot to mention.
>"I don't know what edgy means"
>>28332283

I mentioned this somewhere in an old thread discussing on that new Dragon-type, but isn't Jangmo-o or longer /o/ vowel sounds more Koreanish? More towards Hangul?
>>28332377
I was under the same impression, Koreans tend to have -mo or -o sounds at the back of their naming.
Will theu probably have 600 BST
>>28332377
I know jackshit for Korean, so I can't speak for that, but I know moonrunes, so I can only speak on that end.
If someone who knows Korean comes along to clarify, I'd be interested to know as well.
>Jang
>In Korean it's a slang for 'Awesome!'
>Yfw Jangmo-o is going to be based
Hell yeah!
>>28332417
That's honestly pretty cool.
>>28328509
Eh, I just love how they're breaking all the rules when it comes to names this gen.

It's actually Hawaiian, not Korean or Japanese.
http://www.kumukahi.org/units/ke_ao_akua/akua/kupua#kupua_moo
It's pronounced "jang-moh-oh" with two distinct o's, not a single long one.

Except UB-01 isn't even a Pokemon.
But I agree that Type:Null is stupid.

>"Its different and I don't like it" is perfectly normal.
For children, and children at heart.
Adults undergo a process called Growing The Fuck Up, where, after life stomps their shit in, they learn that nobody actually cares about what they want, so they might as well be happy with what they've got.
We've got a cute jelly martian, a dragon with a fitting hawaiian name, and something that the Rotomdex looked at and said "I give up." I see no reason to complain just because the names have characters that are not alphabetical, especially when we already have pokemon with names like that.
>>28333194
I like the idea that Type:Null isn't a name, but rather than it is the Pokédex returning a 404 error because it is not an actual registered Pokémon.

Either Jang-mo-oh or Jang-mo-huo. Then Jan or Yan is anyone's guess.
