I actually thought of Mystery Dungeon, not because of this but because it's an example of a time a non-Pokémon creature was included as a boss and it worked quite well. I was skeptical about UBs but I think they'll turn out okay if the story can support them

The main antagonist of Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, Dark Matter, is a bit more similar to UB-01. Also, the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series doesn't take place on the main series Pokémon World.
