The Alola forms went over well with fans and gen 8 wants to introduce more. However, they can't set two regions in a row on tropical islands, so they need to come up with a location that has a unique enough climate to justify Pokemon who have adapted to it.

Which location would you use and what types of Pokemon would get newly adapted forms?

Possibly a really arid region based on the Sahara. Maybe with a rock/fairy or fire/fairy pyroar that takes inspiration from sphinxes or Glameow that were pampered and venerated and attained magical powers through their worship. Maybe Patrat that have adapted into ground types to more easily weather sandstorms in a desert.

Sinnoh's snowy climate could work. But theoretically, anything could since its not purely about climate.

But I mean, Kanto polluted air, Johto's clean air could turn Garbodor into pure steel or something, Hoenn is tropical, unova's changing seasons could affect a Mon, etc
