Currently on the last stretch for Y, considering moving in to Platinum or SS afterwards, all part of my desperately slow attempt to finish every Pokemon game I own before S&M come out. Any suggestions on which of the two I should play first? I've played both before, just not in a long, long while.

That's it. Just finished evolving a bunch of mons to put in my Living Dex. Just about done with the Johto section now - only need Porygon 2. Hoenn and Kanto sections are also complete. Going to move on to finishing the Sinnoh section after that.

Going through the E4 for the first time on SS, no items during battle and on a lower level. Will almost ended me (did a stupid switch and got Gengar killed because I figured it had a speed advantage among other things), but Koga was pretty easy and I didn't lose a single pokemon.

Theta Emerald run, first time boxing my starter. I'm at Aqua's underwater base.

It's been a while since I played a gen 3 game so it's been a nice change, but god I forgot that the thing that made all the sea routes so annoying wasn't the water, it was all the HMs.
Lapras isn't carrying it's weight, either. Probably gonna replace it with Starmie.

Yeah, but lost to Bruno and had to start over. Hypnosis failed me, but I ended up dominating Will this time and Koga's Muk gave me some trouble with its evasiveness but still kept all of my team. Gengar just swept Bruno with Hypnosis + Dream Eater. You would think it had 100% accuracy.

Mawile's been amazing - granted, Theta's updated to include gen 6 moves/mechanics, so Fairy typing helps. I used one in my very first Ruby playthrough, though, and I don't remember having many problems then either.

Playing through Yellow with Pokemon I haven't used in any Gen 1 play through. So I've boxed Pikachu, Squirtle and Bulbasaur.

I've been trying to get this working for the past 20 minutes to no avail. I have an Emerald ROM, I downloaded the ups file which comes with the patcher. I put both into the patcher but it says they're not compatible. I read that one guy simple told it to ignore this and patch anyway, which I did, but the file remains unchanged (just runs regular Emerald).

Assuming it's U.S. rom, what emulator are you using? I had this issue too when I was using VBA10 - after I switched to VBA-M, I had no problems at all.

It says U. I attached it here. I also changed the save type on VBA-M to Flash 128k because it originally white screened with the ROM, and though now it works it still has that "Internal battery has run dry" issue, which I vaguely remember being fixable.

Hm. You've got the right file size, so the patch definitely went through. To fix the Internal battery thing, go to Options > Emulator > Real Time Clock. Make sure RTC's on, then reset. You should be good to go.

Doing a Wonder Trade Run where every pokemon i get must be instantly Wondertraded. I use nuzlocke-likes rules for catching(first mon in each route, one mon per route, if it faints it's gg). Right now got some cool breedjects and a lot of shit.

It's not a meme. You will be able to transfer Pokémon from the Virtual Console games, released at the e-shop, to Sun and Moon. They will still have the same moves as in the first generation, but will then gain natures, abilities and stuff. Machamp can learn Fissure in Gen 1, so you can have them with No Guard (Which makes any move land with 100% accuracy) and an OHKO move (Who gets an instant KO if hits, but has only 30% accuracy normally) at Gen 7.

White 1. Just beat Clay and am now on Route 6 heading for Chargestone Cave and planning to pick up Joltik and replace Zoroark. I'm pretty happy with this team, as it's made up of mons I both love and haven't really used before. However, I'm kinda iffy on Vanillite, because although I love Vanilluxe, Vanillite hasn't really been pulling its weight, not even in Clay's gym, and I have to heal it after literally every flight because of its horrible defences and speed. Should I replace it with Zoroark? They're pretty fun to use in game with Psychic types especially because the AI has literally no clue what's going on. But I really want to use Vanilluxe too. Does it get better?

I got Machop by trading with some guy for a Drowzee in Goldenrod City. Universal Pokemon Game Randomizer changes evolution through trade to leveling up a certain amount or with a item.

None that I know of on a phone, but you can take the .sav file from your phone and put it on a flashcart if you buy one, and then transfer the Pokemon from the flashcart to a real game with 2 DS's. Only way I know of, and probably the only one you could do without some immense knowledge of technology and crap.

Manectric. Gardevoir has access to calm mind and t-bolt so need yo have electric type. As for flying types you could use Altaria with the dragon type too or go for Swellow if cloud dragon is not your thing. There's other options like tropius and pelipper but you have lombre already
