I have no fucking clue what's going on anymore after the last trailer. Z whatevers seem to be an alternative to mega evolution without transformation. Just the gain of an OP move. And it's odd, even though I hated gen VI I felt like Mega Evolution was pretty cool. If there's no new mega evolutions this gen just fucking kill me.

But you forget that these 2 get a special form when they use their signature attack (which is possibly a Z-move).

I honestly feel like the turn based combat in Pokémon is coming to an end. They should have you be taking control of your Pokémon like how Pokken does it.

Z-stones we'll make certain Pokemon evolve like Mega Stones but they get access to a Z-move. It's pretty obvious how it's going to work now.
