The whole line has a mushroom and cow girl theme.
The protrusions are horns and could be seen as thorns also, to fit in with the dark fairy part of it.
"she" was supposed to be the male half of a gender split evo, but I like your idea better and now it's a split evo of some kind.
The influence for this is a troll so her "head" is actually her back and she has a crest of horns and shoulder spikes not head markings. The dark parts on the hand are split hooves and the tail is supposed to be more of a pinecone cudgel/cow tail.
