Current Ash wins battles ONLY on strategy. He loses only to raw firepower, which was pretty much the case with Alan and Tobias, who had no strategy, but super-strong mons.

Strategy-fags like Conway, Paul and Shota who relied on trap moves and type advantage (and in Shota's case, designed a strategy specifically to counter-act Ash's team) were all outsmarted by Ash.

Guess he needed some Megas and Legendaries on his team, huh?

OP claimed that Ash doesn't use strategy and types and only believes in friendship.

But he does. He defeated all the strategy-oriented rivals, like Paul and Conway through strategy, and types. He's got beaten by trainers that used the much stronger Pokemon like Tobias and Alan (both of whom used only ONE Pokemon to fight trough the League before meeting Ash and having to use other team members).

Ash pulls a lot of strategies from his add that wouldn't work if he didn't have those things you mentioned. For example he says random shit as lot of the time and the pokemon knows exactly what he's talking about and pulls it off perfectly

It's not just that it was the final, it was that it was a rival. He lost to Alain before because he hadn't perfected the sync with greninja yet, but even with an incomplete sync, he was giving charizard some trouble, and was even good enough to hit the champion's ace. Fast forward to the league, where he finally mastered the sync, and charizard just shrugs a fuckhuge shuriken off like it was nothing. It just sorta seems like a slap in the face.
