Ash has been doing that since the beginning. If people got mad every single time it happened, after every single fucking episode people would rage.

The bullshit most people feel comes in when Ash is literally given EVERY SINGLE mary sue power available, the entire anime hints that it's finally his chance, they hype tge shit out of it....and ash fucking loses due to bullshit.

And now the anime is going to do what it always does, instead of changing up the formula. Ash is going to leave his friends and pokemon, and set sail for alola to take on the challenges a-la orange league. Just like he always fucking does.

Hopefully this time they show ash creating his own pokemon league.
