Not exactly but it's funny you mention that: a Grimer appeared on my radar just a little while ago. Went to hunt it with my gf which was sweet being an Androidfag and having the Grimer glitch, she has an iPhone. It first-turn-fled from her but I logged in on her phone and snagged it.

Despite being affected by the glitch that catch pushed me up to 32 Grimer candies. Just from a hatch and one or two random encounters that didn't cause my phone to crash for whatever reason.

I think that when you pick up an egg everything it will be has been determined. In theory you should be able to hatch mons from another region at home provided you picked that egg up from another region's poke stop.

Grimer can crash some android phones because Niantic are faggots, I suffer from said "glitch" and have had multiple grimer crash my phone.

Last night I tried out a theory of just leaving my game on the pokedex/pokemon screen for dewgong and wandering towards where the grimer was going to spawn (I know the spawns around there autisticly) and managed to catch it in the first great ball.

The grimer will still crash my game if I try to look at him, but at least I have the dex entry now.

Around here people get together take gyms and level them up to lvl7-8. Then leave it with a lot of empty slots, so others can put their mons in.
My lapras has been in a lvl 10 gym for 3 days now. 5 of those mons are over 2k in that gym, so I'm hopeful for my lapras staying there a few days. I'm Instinct and this is the first time got into a strong gym.

Moves are far more important than IVs.

The difference is pretty minimal, too. Sure, the 87% one is closer to perfection but the difference with the other one is only 24%. That's only 1-2 IVs in each stat.

I only battle at gyms and never spend any real money, so I've invested every single coin I earned into backpack upgrades. I finally hit my third bag upgrade today, and at 500 item slots I feel like I'm a force to be reckoned with. I'm carrying 150 Great Balls and 80 Ultra Balls at the moment

Tell me what you've gotten at the shop. I want to know if there is a reason to buy anything else aside from the backpack upgrade.

I've been considering incubators but considering they work only 3 times and have a cost of 150 coins, I'm not sure it's really worth the value. Sure each egg hatch, especially from a 10km egg, will grant you EXP, Stardust and candies, all of which are valuable resources, but the cost seems high. Lucky Eggs, I dunno, they give you a lot of those from level ups. I'm almost 25 now and am expecting to get more of those soon anyway.

I constantly micromanage my items. Because of this I never find myself in want of items, and having more slots only makes me more effective at preparing for gym battles. I follow a pretty formulaic standard for my items. If full, I:

1. Remove any Pokeballs if I have more than 80
2. Then, I remove any Potions
3. Then, I remove any Razzberries if I have more than 50.

I used to toss revives en masse but because your Pokemon are now knocked out again if they are removed from a gym or defeated during training I hang onto them. When I had only 350 item space I was tossing way more revives and potions because those were my top priority. Now I have enough Pokeballs to keep me going forever so I prioritize Hyper Potions, Revives and Hyper Balls just for kicks.
