Okay guys, hear me out.

I know you're all excited and hyped about Pokémon Sun and Moon and not many people has thought of this yet but...

Since Sun/Moon are supposed to be the substitute of gen 6 third game and the 3DS era is almost over, I think after Sun/Moon games there will be a big drought of main Pokemon games, the biggest since Pokemon was created.

Think about it, Gen 8 will be available on Nintendo NX probably which we don't have news about yet and the fact that there's at least a 3 years gap between Pokemon generations. What is Game Freak going to do?

They're not going to make Gen 4 remakes just yet, maybe Sun/Moon third game? and then what?

Sun and Moon better be a big game with lots of content or DLC, otherwise we're fucked.

I'm just predicting the Pokemon apocalypse and the fall of /vp/

This could lead to a main series drought, where the only upgrade we'll see is either a director's cut version or a sequel.

Where did you pull that from?
Just because gen 6 did not deliver a third game and ended abruptly, that doesn't mean gen VII will.

I don't think it'll be too long. The NX is rumored to come out around March 2017 so I don't think it'll be that long.
