I want to like gen 3. I know it's a really popular gen

I just like Gen III because it was the gen everybody was playing when I was in elementary school. People played Gen II games, but almost everybody I knew had a dead save battery on Gold/Silver so they had FireRed/LeafGreen/Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald

It was the last gen with overall solid pokemon designs.

If Gens 3 and 5 never happened, I'd enjoy the series just as much if not more. Gen 5 was ok but left absolutely no last effect except some ugly genies shitting up VGC.

It's a fantastic adventure in a tropical place. A journey in the most colorful and motley (I'm french, I found that word on Google Translate) region of the pokeworld.
The plot deals with the natural forces, the climat, the land, the sea, and the balance between them.
Music is good and there are good characters like Timmy. We've never seen a more original character in the entire franchise (except N).
