This has always bothered me. Can y'all help me understand wtf Skill Link actually is. Like, a lot of abilities' names and flavors actually make sense:
>Flame body: touching a hot thing burns you
>Frisk: checking what someone is holding
>Skill link: what
Also, a lot of mons have abilities that reflect their physiology or pokédex entries or whatever:
>trubbish smells like shit. Has Stench
Pic related, what do these Pokémon even have in common?
Also post other abilities that don't make sense, or Pokémon that have abilities that make no sense
Skillfully linking together hits like you're playing Street Fighter. As a result, each hit autoconfirms each next hit.

Its a skill of linking moves

Makes sense for some but a lot of multi-hit moves are just like spray n pray moves. Like bullet speed, icicle spear, pin missile. I think a better name for the ability would be something to do with luck or cheating.

A way to rapidly shoot projectiles (Cloyster. Heracross) or the size and swiftness to make fast consecutive hits (the rest)
Cloyster probably uses its horn to link hits. Its pokedex entries always say how good it is at shooting spikes.
Aipom/Ambipom have the whole tail-thing that improves their accuracy and dexterity.
Heracross has those weird barrel hands that pop out I think? Plus, it's just an adept fighter in general.
Minccino/Cinccino have that Tail/Scarf and look pretty agile.
Pikipek is a woodpecker, nuff said.

They skillfully keep a normally wild move focused. Someone unskilled in fighting games will basically be praying they make contact as they already struggle to get out special moves.
So, basically, Skill Link is "being good at fighting"? That could be said about 90% of Pokémon.
How the h*ck does Damp prevent explosions?

They've got a good combo game.

I think water is used to defuse explosives.

If gunpowder gets wet, then it burns like wood instead of exploding.
