As much as I really want Synchro to be a thing, I wouldn't expect it to be active 100% of the time, although that would be cool.
I would be just fine with it if your starter only took on its synchro appearance during a Z-Move. In fact that seems much more likely.
What would you prefer? No Synchro at all? All the time or only during Z-Moves?
