Is this actually worth playing? If it was emulatable I wouldn't hesitate to kill some time on it, but given it's an RPGmaker game I've likely got better things I could be doing if I'm at my PC.
It's absolutely not worth playing. It's one of the blandest Pokémon romhack/clone there is.

Ignoring the anon below (or on top now), I do recommend it, but only if you're highly curios, I know RPG maker games are very stingy when it comes to your device.
But other then that, yeah it's a nice game to kill time off.

Is it at least better then Pokemon Edgyshit?

Seriously don't bother unless you'll play anything with Pokemon in it. It runs like a slideshow even on high end PCs. And there are like only five Nuclear type pokemon in the entire game.

If you play Uranium, you'll see Reborn and Insurgence in a better light.
Overall it's just okay. The fake money designs range from pretty terrible, to good, but not great. Unnecessarily hard early on due to lack of move variety. Story is ok but a bit uninspired and tries too hard to be dark and serious. Your rival is alright, annoying little shit at first but he develops, and is better than any rival GF has given us in more than a decade. Soundtrack is fantastic. Multiple save files and a built-in Nuzlocke mode are nice features. Overall a very "okay" game, not amazing by any means, but holds your attention well enough to tide you over til Sun/Moon come out.
Terrible writing. Your rival is extremely shitty written.
Story aside it's a nice game actually, not great and has its flaws. Many flaws. But still okay.
So if you don't mind a shitty story, boring music that doesn't loop well and pretty bad performance issues you should give it a shot.
Like in every gen I like some mons and some others not so much. It's clear that whoever was in charge of the designs had a big influence from the furry community, jesus christ. Not all but so many, man.
So yeah, I'd give it a 7/10, has many flaws that probably won't be ironed out but eh I enjoy it so far
