I prefer Sawsbuck's normal form

Sawsbuck should get a Mega that changes its Normal type and Ability according to its current seasonal form.

Fairy/Grass with an ability that sets either Grassy Terrain or Misty Terrain for Spring
Fire/Grass with Drought for Summer
Water/Grass with Drizzle for Autumn
Ice/Grass with Snow Warning or Thick Fat for Winter

I love Gogoat, it's one of my top favorite Kalos Pokemon. The deer are just okay.

Gogoat basically rendered Sawsbuck irrelevant from a fighting standpoint, but I love them both.

You can get Spring Deerling in OR/AS via DexNav. You can get Spring Sawsbuck in X/Y from Friend Safari.

The only way to get the other seasons was to get them in Gen V games and Pokebank them to gen VI, or trade, GTS, or get a WT from someone who transferred them from Gen V.

If you wanted to breed more non-Spring Deerlings, either breed a female of the season you want with any male, or breed a male of any season with a Ditto.

I have all 4, and I'll occasionally breed a full box of each and send them into WT.

I prefer Gogoat's design, I liked the fact you could ride it. I always thought it was weird how every professor in the beginning of the game said Pokémon have many uses, yet all you mainly did in the games up to Gen 4 was just fighting. DP and HGSS really showed some variation in relationship with pokémon, and gen 6 perfected it, I guess.
It's a shame that it only happened in a little portion of the game, I hope for a fully rideable Gogoat in SM.

Neither is forgettable at all imo. They've got decent enough designs and both have a nice gimmick to make them stick out. Sawsbuck had the seasons and Gogoat had the riding thing.

They're actually both among the pokemon I remember the most from their respective gens.

I think Skiddo and Gogoat are vastly superior design wise, and I'm legitimately shocked that Sawsbuck appears to be so popular.
