Haha silly americans, I didn't have to have any social interactions to get my Arceus code, I just connected to my local GAME store's Nintendo Zone and downloaded the code without even entering the store. I also got the Eon ticket after the event was over by asking the store, one of the qt shopkeepers was actually into pokemon herself and shared her eon ticket with me.
