Thoughts on the XY manga so far? I'm not liking it too much, it just feels incredibly messy and rushed. X isn't a likeable protagonist, the friends are just there for the sake of existing and aren't relevant, and the battles are pretty unentertaining compared to previous series. I did find it funny how Lysandre is so obviously evil to everyone but Sycamore, yet no one does anything.
Diantha is much better than in the games, but that isn't saying much.

Yeah, and the manga has suffered in quality as a result IMO, because Kusaka is rushing to get XY and ORAS done. It doesn't even feel like those two have coherent stories, they've devolved into a mess of "let's pull a bunch of things that were in the games out of a hat and try to cobble them together into a plot".
