When you play any Pokemon game, do you catch them all? I started a new game, and I'm planning to catchI only 6 Pokemons (technically 5) which I'll use through whole game.
Is it good strategy? Is it better to catch more Pokemons? For example, should I catch more electric type Pokemons and then swap my team and use them in water gym?

I normally just catch things I think are interesting and possibly useful and build a team out of those
Mods where are you today?

I usually play through the story first then I do the side stuff, then I catch them all.
I just catch whatever I feel like. Even if I don't plan to use it.

no, I've already completed the pokedex so I don't really care about my other copies of the games
I may replace some mons in my living dex but I don't complete the dex in every playthrough

when replaying, no
it'd be impossible to catch them all on a nuzlocke anyhow

holy shit, I love those splash arts

When i first begin a new pokemon game, i usually catch varied pokemons that i like. By the time i get to the second gym, i got a full fledged team with different types. I stick to them to the end, but i also catch'em all on my way.
It's extremely rare I'll swap one of my pokemon for another, unless i manage to capture something around my team's level and it's better than one of what i own
