I really don't understand how so many people fell for the hype and thought Ash would win the league, there were so many red flags.

1. His mum and Oak weren't there. Do you really think Ash would ever win a league without his mum and Oak being in the crowd? It should have been plain as day he wasn't winning when they weren't watching.

2. No moments reflecting on his past adventures and what he had gone through to reach this point. This is so typical of these sort of shows that if Ash was going to win this would have happened.

3. None of his past travelling buddies were watching. Like his mum and Oak you can be damn sure that people like May, Dawn, Brock and the rest will be shown tuning in to all see Ash's big moment.

4. Pikachu not being the final mon. There is no fucking way in hell that Ash is winning a league without Pikachu getting in the last shot. No matter how much memefrog was hyped up, he wasn't going to take that honour away from the series mascot.

5. The biggest one, Flare's attack on the city. Do you really think that Ash's big moment is going to be cut short and overshadowed by the evil team? Nah senpai, when he wins it will be the highlight of the season.

You anons should have known better, there were many things just not right about the prospect of Ash winning and it should have given people pause. This show is utterly predictable in its writing and people should have seen the result coming.

Hopefully people learn for the future because I really don't want to be going through this same song and dance again next seasons.
