What would guys say is a criteria for determining a Pokemon from a Rock type to a Ground type. I mean do themes like solid rock indicate Rock Type to you while sediment like sand indicate Ground to you?

Also why the hell is there so many hyper realistic portrayals of Garchomp? I swear it took some time to find some pics of Garchomp I actually liked (doesn't make him look too realistic or at least doesn't look like some kind of fucking dinosaur)

How can anything else even compare? Fun fact: Earthquake should be around 8.5 on the Richter scale based on its BP.

Magnitude 4, the weakest possible is 10 BP, 8 is 90 BP, 9 is 110 BP and Magnitude 10 is 150 BP.

Not really. Richter scale is logarithmic, so Magnitude's numbers are already fucked

I feel like Ground isn't a "naturally good" type like Water, Dragon or Fairy, where the type often carries an otherwise mediocre Pokemon, but that ground types instead are awesome almost by pure merit. And they're diverse, you can think of as many high-powered offensive ground types as you can think of titanic defensive ones.

The developers obviously don't give a shit. Also, the math only works for macroevents anyways. You basically have to image Magnitude 10 as emulating the effects of a richter scale 10 quake locally, which means ground shaking so hard it cracks and things being thrown into the air by the incredible force. While Magnitude 4 are small tremors capable of breaking a few cups.

I'm sure we'll get at least two more families plus one Alola form that's a Ground Type.
Gen 7 will probably have ~110 new Pokemon plus Alola Forms.

Gen 6 was shit for Ground as only Zygarde and Niggersby were all that it got. Gen 5 at least gave us some good Ground Pokemon, Golurk, Excadrill and the Krookodile lines as well as based Stunfisk.

Pallosand and Mudsdale both look to be very good Pokemon. If Pallosand's ability grants it an immunity to Water, than it will easily be one of the best tanks in OU.

S&M should introduce a steel type with sand stream. We have a ground and a rock pokemon with it, and the other 3 weathers only really affect one type (maybe sunlight also counts grass types?) so it seems a bit unfair to steel that they cant set up weather.
