Could a pokemon game work with a young adult as a protagonist? Aged 19-23 or something.

It could but they wouldn't be attractive as Chicken-chan.
>>27972500
Yes. Actually it has potential to be one of the best games yet.
>Different career paths
>Poke-college/university? (possibly becoming a research assistant in your major)
>Possible relationships
>Having your own house
>More freedom and options for lore and story/character development

Aren't you thinking about black and white?
I'd love a DPP prequel where you played as young Cynthia
>she's already confirmed a master so catching all mons
>league champ
>exploring ancient ruins and learning about old myths
I'd enjoy it

Sounds more like an expanded Dating Sim than an actual pokemon game.
Not sure this board will agree that what you propose is good at all.
Pokemon conquest

Well obviously there would be more than just that. And the college/university thing is only one option. There would still be a league/gym badge option, and lot of trainers with different strategies and teams.
I really didn't mean for it be dating sim like at all.
>>27972500
For the western audience, probably yes,but I don't think the Japs would like the idea quite as much.
>>27972500
The XY protagonists were 18, so yes

What does any of this have to do with battling?
It could, but that would've been better as a spin-off.
>>27973620
If (as I mentioned) it was a spin-off, it wouldn't have to be about battling. Well, at least not only.
Too bad it'll never happen.
