Until the game lets us use Ash's signature move "Dodge and use _____", Pokemon are nothing more that statbricks of data that easily can, and indeed are be objectively better or worse than others. There is no further potential lurking within your pokemon than level 100 with 508 EV's and 6 sets of 31 IV's, and every pokemon has set in stone limitations. Shitmons are shit because by the rules of the game, they are not good, and never will be without an overhaul to what they fundamentally are.
