What's your favorite gym puzzle? I love Gen III Sootopolis, I hate what they did to it in ORAS. I'd really love it if they did more challenging puzzles, this one wasn't even that hard, but it really required my kid self to think.

Too bad that 3D goes against sliding puzzles.
Gen 2 Steel gym. Walk straight on up no trainers or obstacles just a gym leader who faces you head on because she is confident and will wreck your shit in even if you're at full strength and has a Steelix 10 levels above your strongest pokemon.
I can't really pick one gym puzzle I really liked but my favourites are probably from gen 4. Canalave Gym, Cianwood Gym etc.

>I hate what they did to it in ORAS
But it was still an ice puzzle with trainers on bottom. What do you dislike about it so much?
>>27969024
They ruined the puzzles, originally you had to think about the exact way to traverse. In ORAS you had much more freedom and free spaces, making it much easier and boring.
Not the most difficult, but the most satisfying one to solve for me.
I don't remember many puzzles but I enjoyed Blaine's quiz-puzzle and Drayden's neck-puzzle.

>originally you had to think about the exact way to traverse.
Not really, getting it at s glance was fairly common.
>>27969264
Did they change this in Emerald? I don't recognize this at all
>>27968514
Best puzzles go to Clair in HGSS
>>27969597
They changed it. It was better originally sadly.
>>27969597
yes it's completely different in emerald
Difficult and satisfying.
Plus a cute gym leader.
>>27969858
Even better
>>27970044
man it's crazy how much better the kanto gyms were in the remakes
>>27969661
>>27969665
They might have changed the layout but I'm pretty sure it's exactly the same, what the fuck? Have I fallen for a trick?
>>27970073
update: I'm retarded
>>27970030
Took me a while to figure it out, but man was it worth it for the qt at the end
I loved the psychic gym in X. Wish it were in 3D. Wish that whole game was in 3D...
Elesa's gym is great too. And Whitney's is classic because of the hidden Clefairy design.
>>27970030
alternatively
I liked the sound that the barriers made when you moved them.
My favorite puzzle is from OP's image but this is certainly my overall favorite gym.
>>27970044
is that blaine? i just did his gym on heartgold
>>27968995
That's because you had to fuck around and find her which was basically dealing with a gym in itself
Most of the gyms in DPP were pretty great
>>27970239
Yeah, the Lighthouse is pretty much the Gym Trainers for her.
>>27970239
why couldn't the lighthouse just be the gym, that would have been cool as hell
>>27970276
Well.... Gardena's was the worst gym out there. All the other were good
>>27968514
>water gym
>ice puzzle
>>27970313
Plat's Gardenia was great
Opelucid gym is great. I can't find a good image.
>>27970313
the ghost one was pretty bad in D/P. Thankfully platinum fixed it.
>>27970371
Yeah, that was kind of dumb to be honest. At least ORAS fixed that a bit by making the underground make more sense, and adding more waterfalls.
>>27968514
I love these puzzles too
One of the handheld Zelda games had them too, great fun.
However I disagree on the point of ORAS' version of these puzzles being easier. The free spaces make it trickier in my personal opinion
Anyone else solving these in their heads? lmao
>>27969264
Puzzles like these are the fucking worse. Fuck em.
>>27970374
>>27970384
Yeah Platinum fixed so much
>>27970459
what about this one then?
>>27970179
Best puzzle
>>27970179
wtf does this even have to do with flying
>>27969858
>>27970044
truly the best generation
>>27970724
yep
>>27970030
>difficult
When I was ten
>tfw no more gyms in sun/moon
Gym Leader and their underling(s)
The lesser trainers are optional, easily avoided
No bullshit, just battles
>>27969264
Fuck I had forgot about this.
>>27970755
aka Lego Gym
>>27968514
>posting the casualized version
come on now
Simple but cool.
>>27971318
Actually I prefer that one too. It's just I prefered the image with the trainers too.
>>27970755
Weird Silph Co. tech? Fuck that, legos!
