Thats not completely accurate.
The west has had stylized logos sonce gen 5.
Still it would have been nice to hace unique logos like japan did for the first 4 gens but at least we uodated.
The yellow pokemon logo keeps some brand familiarity.

this is personal opinion but I always felt the yellow logo was cheap-looking, though
all they'd need to do is follow japan's lead and give the logo a new coat of paint each time
just show you're not simply reusing assets from 20 years ago
