>All the other full-evolved crustacean Pokemon have been over 3.5 ft tall
>Crabrawler is only 2ft
>There are people who think Crabrawler is a final evo
It goes with the underdog vibe he's got.
>>27948075
Not to mention coconut crabs are huge asf.
>>27948075
>muh patterns
>>27948112
>0'08
Shaymin can evolve guys!
>>27948075
You forgot barbaracle
He looks like it can evolve though but why would it be shown demolishing all those mons if it werent fully evolved?
>>27948075
>implying he won't turn into a swole lobster with four claws called Throbster
>>27948142
>muh false equivalencies
>>27948142
Ironic considering it has a taller second form.
>>27948142
>Comparing a legendary to a normal Pokemon
Legendaries can get away with being small because they're Pokegods.
>>27948142
>1'04"
Sky form makes it somewhat bigger.
>>27948156
because it's either fully evolved or the final stage of a line. but the retards on here still don't get that.
>>27948095
Yes, yes they are.
>>27948075
>>27948095
My bet is really huge and or long hairy/fuzzy arms. And a body that looks more like a buff chest since it'll still be standing.
>>27948256
lurantis is 2'11" yet orchid mantis are tiny. now what idiot?
>>27948288
yeah but Lurantis is an orchid-like plant that looks like an orchid mantis
>>27948091
Its basically little mac
>>27948075
>the Rocky Balboa / Little Mac of crab Pokemon
>not small as fuck
>>27948075
You don't gotta be tall to be the champ.
>>27948288
Cause Lurantis is a final evo.
He's probably going to evolve into a bigger, more menacing version of itself. Like the underdog becoming champion thing.
>>27948095
Out of curiosity, why do people keep calling it a coconut crab? I don't know much about them but aren't there a lot of different types of crabs in Hawaii?
>>27948428
Because it looks like a coconut crab.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_mq_63fEdI
>>27948428
They're blue
>>27948331
but it's based on orchid mantis you dingus because plants that look like a mantis don't exist
>>27948375
and so is the crab
>>27948210
The movie ruined this fucker for me
>>27948513
Because Tails
>>27948075
I'm glad we're getting more crustaceans that aren't Water-type. Rounds out crustacean team runs a bit. I'm eager to see what Wimpod evolves into though.
>>27948075
>it gets a pre-evo instead
>is a smaller Rock/Fighting pokemon called Crablet
>GIANT
>ENEMY
>CRAB
Itll have an ice-type evo.
>>27948907
>Like hermit crabs, juvenile coconut crabs use empty gastropod shells for protection, but the adults develop a tough exoskeleton on their abdomen and stop carrying a shell
Huh, a rock/normal or rock/fighting pre-evo actually kind of makes sense.
>>27948095
This is a much better argument for crabrawler evolving.
It's not that small. I doubt the measurements include the hair quiff thing.
>>27948075
Masuda noted that and specifically stated that he's strong regardless
>>27948075
One more and we can have a crustacean team
>>27949154
>guys, my hair makes me tall, right?
>>27948075
It's the little mac pokemon
>>27949235
>his bitch wearing 10 inch heels
I don't blame him.
>>27948203
>Legendaries can get away with being small because they're Pokegods
Any Pokemon can "get away" with being small you retard. Their size is completely meaningless.
>>27948075
fallacious image
Is Kabutops a crustbro?
To be fair, crustle has the rock on its back. If we want to get extra autistic, a coconut crab is a shell less hermit crab. That said, it's still smaller than crustle.
>>27948473
>because plants that look like a mantis don't exist
Yes they do. Several species of orchids (bird orchids, ballerina orchids, and naked man orchids come to mind), in particular, are known for their strange animal-like appearance. Orchid Mantises developed their coloring because it was so damn easy to blend in with their shapes.
>>27949632
No, it's probably not, but wimpod was left out of the list assuming that everyone is calling it an amphipod or copepod instead of a horseshoe crab which ironically isn't a crustacean.
>>27949399
he is also wearing
probably more than 10 inch
>>27949910
These are the ones orchid mantises usually try to disguise as.
>>27949399
>manlet confirmed
>>27948075
Since when does Pokemon size relate to anything? I'm not saying it won't evolve, I'm just saying that we all already know that pokemon sizes are nonsense
>>27950456
>>27948075
hes not a 1st stage judging by his proportions but I can see him being a 2d stage
It's going to have a preevo.
>>27950456
I relation to humans, yeah. Aside from a few exceptions, Pokemon tend to be sized similarly to each other if they're based off similar concepts. For example, all three beetle Pokemon (Pinsir, Vikavolt, and Heracross) are the exact same size.
So I feel there's a reason why Crabrawler is sized closer to a Krabby than a Kingler.
>yfw Crabrawster has small man syndrome and that's the reason it fights
>>27949154
Its "hair" looks pretty stiff, so I think that's part of the measurement.
>>27951024
Crabrawler looks closest to a juvenile.
>Little Mac is only 4'8"
>there are people that think Little Mac is finished growing
>>27948075
crablets
when will they learn
>>27951266
Looks more like a megalopae to me.
>>27951291
Damn! I thought he was like Pacquiao short, but that's dwarfism short.
>>27951432
He's 5'7" in the newer version but 4'8" in the NES version
>>27951155
*In relation.
not I relation.
>>27951466
5'7 isn't that short for an Asian boxer, though. I feel like short for an Asian boxer would be 5'0-5'4. In general, boxing is a short man's sport, no one seems to really care about it at the heavier (taller) levels.
I really hope it evolves once (+ maybe a preevo)
It doesn't look like a standalone pokemon to me at all
>>27951525
He's from brooklyn though
>>27951024
By this logic, all the other crustacean mons should have larval baby counterparts. Gamefreak never makes a larvae Pokemon unless it's blatant (Ex: A lot of bug types whose real-world counterparts undergo complete metamorphosis)
>>27948156
All I saw it do was kill that sea cucumber and it didnt seem particularly bulky or anything.
>>27952645
They showed it attacking a bunch of popular competitive mons at the Worlds opening ceremony, including genies, Cresselia, and Kangaskhan.

Idk why I feel like it wil get no guard as an ability. Then again I thought the same about Vikavolt
Where are Kabutops and Parasect?
>>27956251
Kabutops is a trilobite and Parasect is a cicada

>Parasect

What the fuck kind of cicadas are you thinking of?
>>27948075
>leaving crawdaunt out
Reeeeeeeeeeeeeee
>>27956432

Reeeeeeeee
>>27956323
Kabutops is a horseshoe crab and parasect is very clearly a crab. It's red, built like a crab, and has crab claws.
>>27948075
its obvious he's fully evolved/one stage. what a shame.
>>27956572
Horseshoe crabs aren't actually crabs.
They aren't even crustaceans.
Learn basic biology please.
>>27948256
thats mildly terrifying
>>27948145
That's not a crustacean
>>27951525
>american and/or Italian is asian
>>27956572
>parasect is very clearly a cicada.

fucking lmao
>>27957537
barnacles are crustaceans
Hey what's going on in this thread?
>>27948454
>>27948428
>coconut crab
>pest to hawaii
>boxing crab
>native to hawaii
>crabrawler is fighting type
>not a boxing crab
you guys are idiots.
>>27958731
Nah, just let it be. We already have a koala, panda, etc. They don't have to be specifically only Hawaii based. Plus while coconut crabs aren't even in Hawaii, they're found in a lot of the other Pacific islands. Plus boxing crabs don't look like that. They just took the boxing crab concept sans the anemones and added the flavor to a coconut crab to make it a mon.
>>27958731
But crabrawler looks nothing like a boxing crab.
>>27957537
>implying owls are birds
>People think Clawitzer is a crab
>These same people probably think Crabrawler isn't a coconut crab but rather a mantis shrimp
I want retards to leave
If it was going to evolve why would they show it in VGC fighting against strong mons? They would show a pokémon that is competitively viable (to them atleast) and a pre-evolution certainly isn't (Crabrawler certainly doesn't benefit from eviolite)
Him being small is because of his underdog theme.
>>27948075
Also, all of them look good while Crabrawler...well...
>>27948428
Because coconut crab have been an ebin meme on /vp/ sonce Grubbin came out
>>27961971
wel ... looks great!
