Most Pokemon that got Mega evolutions outside of starters and legendary Pokemon should have just got a regular evolution. Now they're basically screwed because they can't really get a regular evolution anymore. Megas were a mistake.

Megas would have been great if pseudos and legendaries had never gotten them. Alolan forms seem to be a much better approach overall, but I don't exactly know how this affects stat distribution, etc. Proper sub-species evolution should have happened ages ago. I feel like Megas were just improperly executed.

Nah, Megas are still in and Z-Moves were added as a way to buff all non-megas.

I don't want Mega Medicham to go, the boost in attack and speed is just what it needed (plus replacing thelepathy with pure power if it has it).
