Ash's legacy should've ended at Orange Islands.

Oh boy a reason to post this!
No song ever has given me more nostalgia than this one, daaaaamn, literally the Roundabout of Pokemon 1st season because when this plays, you knew the episode is ending

The feels.
I'm so glad I lived the beginning of Pokemon.
It was all my childhood
>>27929995
wasn't it fucking amazing though?
>>27929126
It did for me. Ash won a league. Fuck anything else.

The best, just the best.

Old fags desperately clinging to the notion that the OS was better than the current series.
The last episode was a kick in the guts but that doesn't diminish the quality of XY/XYZ.

I agree with you, the quality of the animation has improved a lot.
Yet I don't have those feels that I had before.
Pokemon kinda lost its original charm.

Here is a song from my childhood that really speaks to me.
Now that im an adult an have a much stronger understanding of how the game works, pokemon end up feeling more like numbers, and there always feels like something to complain about whether its low base stats, shit movepool, bad ability or shitty typing.
But this song really brings me back. Back to a time when it wasnt about breeding a 5 IV mon, or worrying if your bro would end up being any good. That child like wonder and ignorance really brought a whole new level to the childhood mind. I remember using beedrill. It didnt matter that it was an early bug mon, beedrill was cool, so I used it.
Dont get me wrong, sun and moon look fantastic and I cant wait to play it. But no matter what incredible advances or interesting new pokemon they introduce, it will always be impossible to defeat that first child hood experience where pokemon was less of a game and more of an actual adventure.

You said exactly what I was feeling but couldn't express, thank you anon, thank you.
ignorance is happiness

Animation quality and the battles have certainly improved a shitload, but there's large problems with how XY/Z handles the interactions of the main cast. The characters are largely flat and the group lacks chemistry. In this respect it's a weaker season than DP, AG, or OS.

Trust me or not I let go a few tears watching and listening this.
Where did my childhood went. Fuck
