Where is the best place to train fire types in pokemon yellow?

That's where i been trying but there's a lot of rock and ground types so i can't train there for long before i gotta go back to the pokecenter.

Do you only have one fire type? If so carry the Exp. All in your bag and have the fire type and another pokémon as lead only in your party. Rotate the lead between your team so they level up in a balanced way.

I'd recommend the last route before Victory Road but it's far from Viridian City. Pokémon Mansion and the road next to Fuchsia City are also options but you get way better EXP from Victory Road's pokémon.

Alternatively you can run from any pokémon but Golbat and Machoke in Victory Road. I think they're more frequent in B1F.

Well then good grinding. It would be nicer if you had the chance of meeting shinies in gen I, but sadly that can't happen.
I've spent a couple days getting my Dragonair to evolve before facing the E4, but it was worth it.
