Believe it or not, there aren't any seagulls in Hawaii. There are seabirds, but none of them are major scavengers. Sometimes one or two get gulls blown there in storms, but that's extremely rare and they usually have to be helped by wildlife rescues. Ghost crabs are the main beach scavengers.

Nah, krabby is similar enough design wise, albeit I wouldn't mind an alola form, but I don't think krabby would even need to change to fit the aesthetic. Plus, we already have a lot of new beach pokemon, so I'm pretty contented.
