I don't mind the fact that Ash lost the Kalos League. Anyone with half a brain knew that Ash was losing. It was the WAY he lost.

Even if you wanted to make the argument that Mega Charizard is super tough, Ash tanked TWO fully-powered Leaf Storms from a Mega Sceptile, and when the match was over, he was breaking just a small sweat. He takes ONE Blast Burn (which he countered earlier in the match), and it was a one-hit KO? No. Just no. That is what is garbage. I don't even care if Mega Charizard came out looking strong against Ash-Greninja, but to make Ash-Greninja get all those hits in on Mega Charizard just to be OHKO'D with Mega Charizard standing perfectly find after taking a Super Saiyan Water Shuriken???

Only kids are mad that Ash lost. We aren't mad that Ash lost. We are mad at not just HOW Ash lost but how his lost was so INCONSISTENT with everything.

Charizard's tanked way more than what Ash has thrown at him.

It took an E4's Mega Blastoise a Skull Bash, a Power-Up Punch, a Hydro Pump, and TWO Super-Effective Mega Launcher-Powered Dragon Pulses to bring down Zard X, and Zard had only gotten stronger since then.

Ash didn't do CLOSE to that much damage with Greninja or Pikachu (who only fought regular Charizard, and for some reason Mega Evolving in the anime gives Pokemon their health back anyways).

It's like this. Ash could not beat Alan until it was revealed Alan is with the evil team. Only then can Ash win because good guys beating bad guys is a staple.

What would happen if Ash beat Alan beforehand? It meant that their fight with the world hanging in the balance doesn't have any "risk" in it simply because Ash already showed he can beat Alan. Ash has to overcome the odds when there is danger. This is why he was allowed to lose the league because there was no danger in the league.

People may not like it because muh league and it's understandable. 20 years of waiting and all that. But people have to realize that having the Team Flare Arc AFTER the league is a clear sign that Ash wasn't going to be allowed to win.
