With Tortunator and Crabrawler revealed, we're getting close to Gen VI's 72.
Will we have much to discover for ourselves? VI was the smallest gen since Johto, and VII could follow the pattern, but odd gens usually have a lot of mons. Will Alola run out of Kanto mons soon if it ignores those with Megas? Will my parents ever stop fighting?

Remember, odd gens have always been big, and even gens have always been small. There's no reason to think gen 7 will be small.
That said, gen 6 was only small if you don't count megas. If you count megas, than it started out at normal size and hit an unprecedented size after ORAS.

Yeah, but the number is getting larger and so them wanting to slow down is likely. I'm expecting at most 110
