ORAS was literally in the works.

The first of a generation never has a sizable postgame. XY still has the least amount of optional areas, only RBY probably has less. It slightly makes up for it with comp. play actually being feasible, but that don't do it for everyone and there's definitely less effort in it.

The lack of new legendaries requiring areas be made for them and the general growing pains of a full 3D world probably are to blame.

The thing that confuses me--that always confuses me--is the fact that you people are buying a game and then complaining that there isn't enough content AFTER YOU'VE FINISHED THE GAME.
