How can you be a NEET, you have a lot of high level pokemons and tons of badges. You must travel a lot!
Kalos League Champion :^)

I saw your victory on tv. Congrats, that greninja look really strong!
But you're not the champion, you only won the Lumiose Conference. You still have to battle the elite 4 and the champion. Were you scared when team flared attacked?

Had to get a job as a waiter to barely support my family in Lumiose. Had a dream to be a Pokemon master but that fell out so I just spend time with the Pokemon I caught when I was a teenager.
>>27902414
What are you favorites? I have the misfortune of loving lots of Dark and Steel Types too.
>>27902457
Of Dark alone or of all Pokemon in general?
Mawile's in my number one spot for all Pokemon. Steel's my favourite typing, with Dark, Fairy, Ghost, and Grass taking up the rest of the top five just after Steel. Out of Dark types though my trainer card says it all. Bisharp's probably my favourite on account of also being a Steel type, and the fact it's a noble knight with a more menacing twist. Hydreigon's pretty fantastic too, although I can't quite put my finger on why I prefer it over other dragons. Mightyena mixes in elements of hyenas with what would be an otherwise generic wolf which I liked, and I always imagined it to be protective but really just a big softy, rather than just inherently violent and evil. which always seems like a poor attempt to make something threatening and scary.
Pic partially related, a gym leader I made for one of those "make your own gym leader" threads we have here every so often. I hindsight I would probably swap out Malamar and Zoroark, but restricting myself purely to Dark types limited my options.
Start my journey in Johto to collect badges and challenge the league/elite 4 whatever this universe would have. After that travel to each region changing up my team but keeping the first 4 pretty much the same.Irl a uni student who's about to graduate and get a real job. Bisharp is my all time favorite. I really only chose him to begin with because his theme is a foil of Gallade, my friend's favorite, to fuck with him but over time he grew on me. Mawile is definitely a great mon. 10/10 tastes.

I knew I should've given a full explanation.
I went for the Johto league with the hopes of getting famous and rich so I could spend the rest of my time as a NEET. Unfortunately, being the champion of a region means little to nothing. However, the owner of the Mt. Moon square shop gave me a job.
I'm a school girl!
Biologist, Digletts for field research, Magnemites for lab research.
I'm a university professor in Jubilife City in Sinnoh, but I grew up in Kanto. I'm not one of those "pokemon professors" either, though, I just teach critical theory. Don't ask me about evolution or eggs or whatever. I don't have the answers.
The Wigglytuff has been with me a long, long time. Paras was the first I ever caught myself at about thirteen and it evolved right around the time I graduated high school. The Sandshrew I caught during my undergraduate year in Sinnoh while visiting relatives back home. The Duskull I caught in Hoenn while exploring graveyards during grad school as a twenty-something rascal obsessed with spooky things.
Not sure how regular people can have so many pokemon. Unless you're a full-time trainer, it's almost impossible to find anything less than common just moseying about in the wild. And if you're not really going to enjoy their company then there's no real point in collecting so many, besides, Pokeballs cost more money than it's worth to keep around in droves.

I used to work on a deep sea fishing boat back in Unova but I got a much cushier jobs now humanely catching and preparing Basculin in Couriway Town, Kalos
I catch pretty much all the Basculin that the chefs at our local hotel and the chefs at Sushi High Roller use.
Probably the strangest team combo I've ever used.
Just being a trainer, running away from life and responsibilities, getting into mischief and adventures with my pokebros
Graduated from Unova police academy in '09 and mostly done service in Olivine, Johto since. Academy's where I caught Patrat though, real scrappy little fucker with a mean bite on anyone it don't like. Sits on my shoulder a lot, keepin' an eye out. Real handy to have on a stakeout, tell ya that much.
The Ivysaur's mine, too, actually. Had it since I was a kid, and it was a Bulbasaur then, obviously. I tried battling and all and wasn't that good, but when that whole Team Rocket shit happened, me and Bulbasaur managed to fight off a few of those crooks who were targeting some friends of mine downtown. I realized, trainers can't train and battle fairly if there's crooks like that running around, and that's why I wanted to be a cop. Someone's gotta.
Growlithe's standard issue for most recruits in the Kanto-Johto area. They're easy to break in, take orders well, and loyal to the teeth. Policeman's best friend.
And the Onix, oh, man, that's a good one. A goddamn Onix burst out of Mount Silver one day, confused as all hell. We don't know what got into it but it was a whole ruckus. City Pokemon Services were too busy jackin' themselves off like always to do much about it so me and the other boys took to the streets and wore the thing down ourselves. We just about had it wrangled but some second wind it had threatened to bring its whole rampage into the city. It was beat up, though, and I happened to have a few Pokeballs on me so with no other option I just started chuckin' em and hoping for the best. The second Pokeball clicked, and everybody was just speechless. The chief came over and patted me on the back for that one, tellin' me, "now you shut that thing tight!"
It's an ornery fella, but listens well enough. Given its size, I don't bring it out much, but a lot of folks are more inclined to go peacefully when you pull an Onix out of your pocket.
I'm one of the work leaders for the mining and tunneling efforts in Mt. Coronet. It's not too glamourous, but it pays nicely, mainly because it's so hard to find people with my maneuverability, but I'll get to that later. It gets cold as all hell in that place, but Rapidash helps me to keep warm.
Yeah, I see you eyeing the badges there, but I'm not too interested in the Pokemon League at the moment. I have them mainly for the HMs they let me use, lets me scout out a lot more of the caves, y'know? A lot of people don't have the drive to go out and get 'em, but I guess they're the ones who don't get promoted. You get a lot of time to explore the caves in between operations, climb the summit, go fishin', all that jazz. Spear Pillar's off limits, though, after the whole Team Galactic shebang, which is too bad, as I'd really like to check it out.
Speaking of fishing, caught myself a damn Feebas in there! I didn't think they even existed outside Hoenn. Most of my Pokemon are from inside or around the cave, 'cept for Rapidash. Had her since I was a little kid and she was a Ponyta. They help with the operations and exploring, all in their own way, and they know the caves already, so that's even better.
Maybe one day I'll head out to Victory Road and try my luck against the Elite Four. I think I'd stand a fair chance! After all, if a 10-year-old could do it, why not me?

Just a regular journalist who currently resides in Laverre City. I wasn't born here, however. I actually lived most of my younger years in Veilstone City, in Sinnoh. I only recently moved here due to my mother coming to work at the nearby Pokeball Factory. I'm very glad she decided to take on this job rather than working with Team Galactic. Her boss was an asshole.
I don't really do much around Laverre other than train at the nearby gym. I'm actually hoping to become the Kalos Region Champion one day. Not for my sake though. If anything, the person I was a year ago would think becoming the a league champion is for actual fucking faggots. Until my best friend died.
My best friend, Gabe, aspired to become the champion of every region in the world. Of course, it was a childhood dream that even I shared with him until I thought it was "lame" and "gay" in highschool. But until he died, he strongly believed in travelling to every region and becoming a league champion. We were very close as children due to both of our mothers being close friends from their childhood. Gabe was usually the happy-go-lucky kind of guy who did whatever he wanted, but at the same time gave off a cool and "leader-like" vibe. I always never really cared and stuck around cause' I thought he was cool.
He died of cancer a little bit after I moved to Kalos. In his letter to me, he requested that I would take his three pokemon and travel around the world to fulfill his dream. At first, I thought it was completely audacious for him to ask for such a request like that. Of course, I felt bad, and I miss him every single day that goes by, but become the league champion of every single region isn't that easy.
Until the guilt began to overcome me. And one day, I decided to pack my bags, head over the the Pokemon Center and pick up Gabriel's Munchlax, Hippopotas, and Ghastly, and to finish what he started. With my own mon's as well, I will live his dream for him. One region at a time.

Snowbelle native who aimed to be a Pokemon nurse, but quickly became burned out and jaded upon entering the field. It upset me too much to see what some trainers were willing to put their Pokemon through just to win a damn badge. I took a step back from the medical field and now mostly work as a Pokemon daycare attendant and breeder.
Mom and dad got me a Pikachu as a starter - they're popular and easy to get ahold of in nearby Santalune - but my prized Pokemon is the Wigglytuff, caught as a Jigglypuff in the Winding Woods when I used to go out searching for Pokemon Village. He uses Sing to soothe Pokemon that are anxious about being in a strange place or away from their trainers, and also to help me combat my insomnia.
Fletchling was caught on my way over to Route 7, where I interned under at their daycare. She's in charge of hatching eggs with her Flame Body. Eevee was a graduation gift of sorts when my training was completed - males are a dime a dozen in the breeding world. He evolved into Umbreon because I'm always up all goddamn night.
None of my team are big into battling, but we take on gyms every now and again as a casual sort of hobby. Magikarp never fights and is mostly just spoiled because I feel sorry for the species as a whole. He'll probably never evolve and that's fine.

During my college days someone in the music department was giving out kricketot eggs and I happily took one; these days kricketune is especially helpful in rehearsing duets. Maractus is the only pokemon I've caught on my own, I encountered it when I got my first motorcycle and rode through the desert between Castelia and Nimbasa. Route 4 really used to be empty in those days!

Good taste in my book. I love Slurpuff and I think Emboar is underappreciated.
My dad was a former Grass type gym leader in Alola before he moved to Unova and settled down. I hope to be able to make the PWT in 2 years time. My goal is to get to the top 4 there snd be recognized. Maybe become a gym leader in the future
Here's an idea for a Nurse Joy team I had a while back.

Marine Pokemon Researcher and Pokemon Trainer on break.
After traveling many regions and collecting badges, I decided to stay in Lilycove City to research the various number of water Pokemon in the Hoenn region and how their habitat allows them to grow and evolve hoping to learn new methods of evolution in order to allow Pokemon like Corsola to evolve and grow stronger.
Kanto pokemon league challenger.
Going for sunny day/just for fun team.

are you a time traveler?
Nova born and raised. Parents ended up blowing some big bucks to get me a zorua from a reputable breeder when I was a kid.
I had a brief stint trying to be a professional trainer before realizing it wasn't my thing and that I had a greater interest in academics and archeology. Ended up picking up my murkrow in those days.
Now a history professor at Castelia city. I travel to other regions to do archeological work on ruins there when I can afford to, and there's time for it. The natu and golurk were lucky catches while out on a dig. Especially the golurk.
I don't normally battle so my pokemon generally act more as travel companions and friends than anything else. The golurk is particularly useful as a classroom teaching tool however.
Chill as a mofo baker yo.

The idea of using a golurk as some sort of teaching aid amuses me.
Animation student and artist IRL, from a far away region but looking to travel and work around Unova. Zigzagoon would likely be the first Pokémon I caught, likely when I was a kid and had no friends, and Aggron would probably be my partner/ace.

I need to update mine.
I'd be a starving artist, just like IRL.
